I guess people couldn’t wait to get their hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Because over at InformationWeek they have a detailed article explaining the situation. It also mentions how some of the players actually modified their consoles to play pirated games…
Aside from all the people being banned Major Nelson recently twitted the following statement… “We just hit a new #XboxLIVE record: Over TWO MILLION people connected to the service at once.” Which is pretty impressive since they are now missing over a million people. Ehhh one good thing the banned Xbox 360 gamers can look forward to is that they now sell the PlayStation 3 for only $299.00 over on Amazon.
To those who don’t know yet Microsoft recently announced that a Xbox Dashboard update will be scheduled for Xbox Live on August 11. The update is set to include these new features…
- Games on Demand.
- There is going to be an Avatar Marketplace and Avatar Awardables.
- The ability to rate games.
- Changes in the way your achievements are displayed.
- Account Recovery resources.
- Friends list sorting options (alphabetically, last login, activity etc.).
- Video Display Options so if you’re using an HDMI cable with your connection.
- The ability to look at account info and it answers questions like “how to change my gamertag” from Xbox Live.
- Improved Netflix performance. Invite friends to a movie party.
