Recently I was watching the local news about this story where this guy tried to trade his car in for a used car when he had a loan on the car he was trading in. Well in the news report the car which the guy tried to trade in for another car never got paid off. So both loan companies were coming after the guy who traded the car in. It’s crazy confusing I know but, in order to not get caught in the same situation here is a great website that is provided by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Which allows you to check for free the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the car you are going to purchase or the car you will trade in. This will let you know how many people have owned the car and if the loan is paid off.
