Thats right you can advertise your Facebook profile or even a blog or website by putting an image / logo on the shirt that a cellphone camera can recognize. That way when someone snaps a picture of the image / logo, the phone automatically pulls up the website, blog or profile that person has chosen to advertise. It could be your website, MySpace profile, Facebook profile, blog or whatever. Visit w-41.com to see what they have to offer the prices are pretty reasonable only $49 for t-shirts and $56 for sweatshirts.

Plurk is it the new improved Twitter?

Monday, June 2nd, 2008 | Random with 1 Comment

Hmmm… that is the ultimate question.. I recently came across this great twitter style site called Plurk.com. Granted I’ve only been on the site for a few hours I haven’t once gotten an error for “over capacity” which is great! Aside from not getting error right of the bat there are also several features that the site offers. However, one of my favorite features is the fact that the site allows you to generate karma for your profile. Which then allows you the ability to unlock items to increase the creativity of your profile. So why not check out Plurk.com already and don’t forget to Add me as a friend!

Plurk

Need some information on the Plurk site? Well, according to the site: Plurk is that of the following…
Noun. plurk (plüer-kh) – A really snazzy site that allows you to showcase the events that make up your life in deliciously digestible chunks. Low in fat, 5 calories per serving, yet chock full of goodness.

Verb. plurk (plüer-kh) – To chronicle the events of your always on, action-packed, storybook, semi-charmed kinda life.

So once you check out the site what do you think… is it the new twitter or the twitter replacement? Feel free to leave a comment with your thoughts.

Facebook App Request Overload

Friday, May 23rd, 2008 | Networking with 1 Comment

Facebook AppsIs it me or does everyone get crrrazy amounts of Facebook application request? If you check out the image within this post you’ll see that as of May 23rd. I have 8 Top Friend Request, 3 Top Friends Friend Request (WTF?), 1 Event Invitation (I removed a few of theses), and 282 Other Request. I found that some of theses Facebook applications are pretty cool and useful. However, When someone adds way too many to their profile it then starts to look like a poorly made Myspace page with all that 1996 glitter crap everywhere. I don’t know if there is a limit to the amount of Facebook applications people can add to their Facebook profiles… in my opinion there should be!

When it comes to the 282 application request there are a ton of them that I just sit back and scratch my head at. If you check out the list below you’ll see some of the requests I’ve received.

Amount Application Name
16 funwall friend requests
31 group invitations
12 be a billionaire! requests
10 buy your friends invitations
12 friends for sale invitations
2 hotties for sale invitations
3 the lotto invitations
5 friend fu*k invitation
5 sticker requests
5 social me requests

If you follow anyone on Twitter you might notice that some of their friends may have a color attached to their icon or they may be wearing a solid color in a photo. Well any way you look at it there is a color war going on within twitter. You can check for yourself at Colorwar2008.com and find out information like how it got started, the games, and all the team colors. Although I haven’t joined the twitter color war yet… i’m still thinking about which color to join!
