I don’t know if i’m the only one that does this but, when it comes to an internet discussion I can think of a letter and a company/domain I tend to frequent/use daily comes to mind.. for instance the letter “D” I think of digg.com. It’s just something I’ve taught myself in order to memorize popular domains… it’s kinda like trying to memorize HTML code or CSS code (in my opinion).

You should try it yourself and see if you can think of any companies to all the letters of the alphabet. Below are the companies / domains that come to mind with each letter.

Here is a great flickr page that has some nostalgic postcards. They aren’t dated but, they are labeled with a location. Below are a few that I have to be pretty cool.
