Linkedin gets $53 Million

According to the Wall Street Journal… LinkedIn Corp., has received a $53 million infusion from blue-chip venture capitalists that values the company at $1 billion. I don’t know about you but… $1 billion that’s a lil steep maybe if you combined the salaries of all the apparent 23 million users then I’d think it were worth that much.

The Chief Executive Dan Nye, of LinkedIn quotes “If you’re not on LinkedIn, you’re not on a professional network“. He also goes to say “LinkedIn’s average user is 41 years old and has a household income of $109,000“. Hmmm… that is the ultimate question.. I recently came across this great twitter style site called Plurk.com. Granted I’ve only been on the site for a few hours I haven’t once gotten an error for “over capacity” which is great! Aside from not getting error right of the bat there are also several features that the site offers. However, one of my favorite features is the fact that the site allows you to generate karma for your profile. Which then allows you the ability to unlock items to increase the creativity of your profile. So why not check out Plurk.com already and don’t forget to Add me as a friend!

Need some information on the Plurk site? Well, according to the site: Plurk is that of the following…

If you follow anyone on Twitter you might notice that some of their friends may have a color attached to their icon or they may be wearing a solid color in a photo. Well any way you look at it there is a color war going on within twitter. You can check for yourself at Colorwar2008.com and find out information like how it got started, the games, and all the team colors. Although I haven’t joined the twitter color war yet… i’m still thinking about which color to join!

That’s right ladies and gentlemen I gave Spottt the boot… They really haven’t done anything for me. Granted they have this whole points system but, where in the world can I spend my points? Granted they say within their system I’ve spent alot of my points but, I haven’t seen any traffic from them. When I first joined the Spottt – Free Link Exchange service I instantly thought that they would be a mimic of Entrecard but, a little more advanced considering that they are a subsidiary of Adbrite. Well, apparently I was wrong! Below is a screen shot of my stats from February 25th, 2008 – March 12th, 2008.

Has anyone else out there gave Spottt the boot..? Or has anyone found that the Spott – Free Link Exchange service works for them..?Similar Posts:

I just signed up with the Free Link Exchange service called Spott.com (provided by Adbrite). The site seems to be a lot like Entrecard. However, there are alot more restrictions and they have to “Review” your submitted site.
