The above trailer features vehicle/on-foot gameplay sequences – not to mention the beautiful destruction and chaos unique to Bad Company 2. The Map Pack contains two new maps, Nelson Bay (Rush) and Laguna Alta (Conquest). Console gamers that buy used versions which don’t include a code can purchase one via the in-game store for $15 – PC gamers will get the content via game update. However if you purchase the game new you can download Day 1 DLC Map Pack for free. According the the EA – Battlefield: Bad Company 2 website they mention that later in March another map pack will be released containing Arica Harbor for Conquest and Laguna Presa for Rush. Halo Wars Historic Battles Game Add-on July 21

That’s right it’s called “Historic Battles” and it will be available for download on July 21st for 800 points on the Xbox 360 and it has four new maps and as well as four new achievements. Well according to the Halowars website here are description of the maps and the achievements…

“Historic Battles” expands the universe for “Halo Wars” fans with four new multiplayer maps with varied terrains for players to find their competitive edge by using unique features of each map. The four new maps include:

Barrens (1v1 Map): Difficult terrain channels units into killing zones. The side that controls the Forerunner artifacts will have the advantage.
Blood River (1v1 Map): Secure base locations on nearby cliffs overlook this naturally red-tinged river. The soldiers that fought over its two narrow crossings gave the river its name, which has since taken on a greater meaning.
Glacial Ravine (3v3 Map): A snow-topped mountain range forms a natural barrier that cuts this region in half. Control of the two energy walls at the narrow central pass often determines the outcome of the battle, though clever use of the Sentinel Factories may play a role as well.
Memorial Basin (2v2 Map): The high ground in the middle offers good cover for infantry, while the generally open terrain transforms organized battle plans into bloodbaths.

“Historic Battles” also adds four new Achievements worth a total of 100 points:

Tour Coming Through: Hot drop 50 squads to your Covenant Leader in a single game on Memorial Basin (30 points)
Never Leave a Man Behind: Finish a game with 5000 net resources contributed to your teammates on Memorial Basin (15 points)
Drain Cleaner: Kill 20 enemy squads with a continuous Covenant Leader Power on Memorial Basin (30 points)
Killjoy: Disrupt 5 active Leader Powers in a single game on Blood River (25 points)

That’s right folks… there’s another map pack being release on June 30, 2009 according to IGN.com. Here is a brief description from the Official Call of Duty website: Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 continues to expand the addictive COD multiplayer experience with four new maps. Battle to control the river bridge in “Banzai” a bright jungle map featuring a waterfall and hidden caves. In “Corrosion” face down your enemy in a shattered train yard, and in “Sub Pens” wipe the monsoon rain from your eyes as you struggle over a bombed-out submarine base. The Zombies return in “Shi No Numa” (Zombie Swamp) featuring Perk machines, the deadly new Wunderwaffe DG-2, new Achievements/Trophies and flaming Hell Hounds.

Although I know longer have the Call of Duty: World at War game anymore I still like the fact that there is going to be new achievements added. I may have to borrow it from a friend or rent it and see how the maps are in comparison to the first map pack. The one called the “Corrosion Map” looks like it is pretty interesting, it looks as if there maybe a ton of camping spots for all those campers out there.

This link may just come in handy once you download the map pack. It’s a link to the Map Pack 2 Overhead Schematics in other words it’s detailed information and tips that allow you to study the maps and stead ahead of the opponent when it comes to close combat.Similar Posts:

New HALO3 Maps Released

As of December 11th the HALO 3 latest map pack was released it can be downloaded for 800 Microsoft points ($10) or you can wait like I am until Spring of 2008 and get them for free that’s if I still have my HALO 3 game for that long. The new map pack included 3 maps which are named “Standoff“, “Rat’s Nest“, and “Foundry“.

I have yet to play theses New maps so I really can’t give you any feedback. However if you check out this site there are some awesome screenshots of the new maps and the current available maps.
