How to Fix / Unfreeze your iPhone

iphone buttons

I don’t know about you but, my iphone has froze up several times since i’ve bought it. It usually happens once I update my apps or add a new one and run it for the first time. I’ve been told to unfreeze it by holding the home button for 10 seconds and it will work… well It worked probably the first time but after that it didn’t do the trick for me. So now what I do is holding the sleep and home button down at the same time for about 5 – 10 seconds and then it restarts itself.

I haven’t tried this but over at CNET they mention the following… If you toggle the following two settings it can result in a reduction in or complete elimination of freezes:

  • Tap Settings on the home screen. Tap General. Tap Auto-Lock. Set to “Never.”
  • Tap Settings on the home screen. Tap Brightness. Turn Auto-Brightness off.

Like I said I haven’t tried the above two suggestions I only know that “holding the sleep and home button down at the same time” worked for me :)
