Over on the Amazon.com it states that if you pre-order Halo 3: ODST you’ll receive a code to play as Sgt. Johnson in the new “firefight” co-op mode. The game is scheduled to be release on September 22, 2009. Here is some useful information to know about the game… Halo 3: ODST also includes a second standalone disc with three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps, all original Halo 3 maps, as well as the “Legendary,” “Heroic,” and “Mythic” Map packs for a total of 24 maps. So it is well worth the money to purchase the game in advance to pretty much dominate the maps before your friends do! For more information about the game check out the Xbox Halo page.

As of December 11th the HALO 3 latest map pack was released it can be downloaded for 800 Microsoft points ($10) or you can wait like I am until Spring of 2008 and get them for free that’s if I still have my HALO 3 game for that long. The new map pack included 3 maps which are named “Standoff“, “Rat’s Nest“, and “Foundry“.

I have yet to play theses New maps so I really can’t give you any feedback. However if you check out this site there are some awesome screenshots of the new maps and the current available maps.
