New Update to Xbox LIVE Code of Conduct

Well they’ve updated the Xbox LIVE Code of Conduct here is a brief capture of what the update allows…

“The recent update to the Xbox LIVE Terms of Use and Code of Conduct which will allow our members to more freely express their race, nationality, religion and sexual orientation in Gamertags and profiles. Under our previous policy, some of these expressions of self-identification were not allowed in Gamertags or profiles to prevent the use of these terms as insults or slurs. However we have since heard feedback from our customers that while the spirit of this approach was genuine, it inadvertently excluded a part of our Xbox LIVE community. This update also comes hand-in-hand with increased stringency and enforcement to prevent the misuse of these terms.”

Here is the link to the latest Online Policies / Code of Conduct. As stated on their site please be sure to reread this document once in a while because Microsoft will update it periodically. Some games and events may also have additional guidelines that govern your use, so be sure to review them as well.Similar Posts:

You read the title correctly… According to Major Nelson if you’re in the United States, Doritos and Xbox are teaming up to give you a chance to create your own Xbox 360 video game. As of August 31st, the registration opened at www.unlockxbox.com. So if you would like to see $50,000.00 added to your bank account then I suggest signing up today! I wonder how it will work if some of the developer who’ve already created games just slap Doritos all over the game they already created. I’m sure there is something in the terms that would prevent that.

Halo Wars Historic Battles Game Add-on July 21

That’s right it’s called “Historic Battles” and it will be available for download on July 21st for 800 points on the Xbox 360 and it has four new maps and as well as four new achievements. Well according to the Halowars website here are description of the maps and the achievements…

“Historic Battles” expands the universe for “Halo Wars” fans with four new multiplayer maps with varied terrains for players to find their competitive edge by using unique features of each map. The four new maps include:

Barrens (1v1 Map): Difficult terrain channels units into killing zones. The side that controls the Forerunner artifacts will have the advantage.
Blood River (1v1 Map): Secure base locations on nearby cliffs overlook this naturally red-tinged river. The soldiers that fought over its two narrow crossings gave the river its name, which has since taken on a greater meaning.
Glacial Ravine (3v3 Map): A snow-topped mountain range forms a natural barrier that cuts this region in half. Control of the two energy walls at the narrow central pass often determines the outcome of the battle, though clever use of the Sentinel Factories may play a role as well.
Memorial Basin (2v2 Map): The high ground in the middle offers good cover for infantry, while the generally open terrain transforms organized battle plans into bloodbaths.

“Historic Battles” also adds four new Achievements worth a total of 100 points:

Tour Coming Through: Hot drop 50 squads to your Covenant Leader in a single game on Memorial Basin (30 points)
Never Leave a Man Behind: Finish a game with 5000 net resources contributed to your teammates on Memorial Basin (15 points)
Drain Cleaner: Kill 20 enemy squads with a continuous Covenant Leader Power on Memorial Basin (30 points)
Killjoy: Disrupt 5 active Leader Powers in a single game on Blood River (25 points)

So you’ve seen the numerous SAW movies out that were gory, creepy and hardcore… Now play the game! SAW is scheduled to come out on October 6, 2009 according to IGN so pre-order a copy today! Here are the features of the game according to Amazon.com:

Traps of Lethal Cunning: Jigsaw has laid out a gauntlet of torturous traps for a handful of innocents. Only you stand between them and the most brutal death imaginable. Think quickly and act! The clock is ticking.
Choices of conscience: The player is forced to make difficult moral choices. Who lives and who dies in the game is determined by the player’s choices.
Mysteries Revealed: Unanswered questions from the films are finally laid to rest. Gamers will discover the origin of Jigsaw and why he devoted his life to games, while also finding out what happened to the characters from the first SAW movie.
An Ecology of Terror: The asylum in which Jigsaw has trapped you is abandoned, but it is far from empty. It is a living world of horror populated by Jigsaw’s minions and the insane souls they torture and they have no intention of letting you leave.

Wheelman Xbox 360 Demo and Trailer

Just from the video of the Wheelman game makes me think it will be awesome! The Cinematic views are intense and the game has the GTA feel / look to it… Here is a snippet from the YouTube write up.

Combining spectacular Hollywood-style stunts with a gripping storyline, Wheelman provides an adrenaline-fueled, cinematic thrill ride guaranteed to leave you breathless. Vin Diesel stars as an undercover agent and highly skilled driver who must infiltrate the Barcelona underworld to gather intelligence surrounding a covert heist.
