According to the Official Call of Duty website they excited to announce their first downloadable content (DLC) Map Pack for Call of Duty World at War. The new Call of Duty World at War map pack will include three new Multiplayer levels, as well as an additional level for the ever-popular bonus Co-Op mode, Nazi Zombies! Below is a list of the new downloadable maps as well as a brief description of them.

Nightfire
In “Nightfire,” players take to the streets of a war-ravaged Berlin with only the flames of the burning city to expose the enemy.

Station
“Station” offers a bombed out underground train station littered with hidden passageways and destroyed subway cars.

Knee Deep
“Knee Deep” takes place on the island of Peleliu in a once tranquil village turned chaotic Japanese command center.

Verrückt (Zombie Asylum)
The fan favorite 4-player co-op Nazi Zombies Bonus Mode returns with “Verrückt,” a terrifying Zombie asylum featuring more weapons, perks via the addition of Perks-a-Cola machines, electroshock defenses and the endless zombie horde.

The Call of Duty team has been very hush-hush regarding the details of the COD5 map packs until now. The DLC Map Pack #1 is due out sometime in March of ‘09 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC platforms. If you still play Call of Duty: World at War then the next time you sign onto Xbox Live to play the game you’ll notice an update / patch. The update / patch includes a new FREE map—Makin Day, which is a daytime variation of MP Makin.

According to the Call of Duty Website here is a little bit of information about the update / patch;

The new dynamic the sunlight adds to the experience, some paths and cover have been modified to change-up the gameplay experience. PS3 players will get Makin Day when they download the patch. If you’re a PS3 player, you’ll get Makin Day when you patch. Xbox 360 players can download it from the XBL Marketplace once you sign into the game & Xbox LIVE and get the update.

According to the fourzerotwo website there is a planned Double XP weekend starting Friday Feb. 27th. Here is more information about what they have to offer for the gamers who are playing Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare…

Starting Tuesday Feb. 24th, the Variety Map Pack will become %50 off for those of you who still need to pick it up, leading up to the promotion, I’ll also be giving out tokens to download it for free on Twitter.
