While surfing some of my favorite sites I came across a creative site that shows 42 Information Packed Twitter Backgrounds. I recently stumbled across this site called colorburned that gives you 50 different plaid pattern swatches for free! I’ve selected 3 of the 50 as my favorite to show you the details of what they look like. The free patterns could make a great plaid desktop wallpaper or a creative plaid website background.

Is wood the new black when it comes to design? I’ve been noticing a bunch of websites that have made the switch to a “wood background” for their blog or website. Some people like it some people don’t. The reason I love to use a wood image as my background is because, it allows me to have a virtual piece of something real (a tree) on my website… some people like birds others like mountains. It’s just something I like and I believe is a little creative in a way… it’s not everyday you come across a site that has a wood background unless you subscribe to my RSS feed and visit my site daily.
