My Blog Undergoing a Re-brand and Redesign

My blog (the one you’re reading) is undergoing a redesign which will allows me to re-brand my site to make an icon / avatar that is suitable for the name of the blog “revenue robot“. Above is a screen shot of what I plan on replacing this current site with… granted it needs some more tweaks here and there. The site should be replaced with the new template within a few more weeks (hopefully sooner). My new site will include a free downloadable eBook which shows you steps to take to start your own blog. I am also contemplating on rotating the backgrounds out each time the page loads kind of like the MTV website has theirs. Implemented the Gravatar Icons onto my Blog

If you visit my blog often then you may have noticed that I recently added the Gravatar avatars / icons to my blog posts. I did this to allow my fellow RSS readers the ability to personally express themselves when they leave a comment on my blog.

The Gravatar service is FREE and allows you to use any image you want… This is your perfect chance to express yourself on my blog by replacing the dull image with a favorite sports team, a game Clan Icon, your girlfriend, your favorite video game, pretty much anything you want.! Check out the sample image below to see what I mean.

Once you’ve done the steps above you now have the ability to show yourself on my blog so each time you comment your favorite avatar will show up next to your name! I’ve been seeing people change their images all over the place from MSN  Messenger to AIM and even over on Twitter. So I was wondering where in the world are they creating theses sharp looking avatars… so I asked a friend she then pointed me over to this site called Faceyourmanga.com.

The Face your Manga site is pretty creative concept it allows you to create a cartoon avatar version of yourself (as you see me to the left). What’s really cool is that there are  unlimited  combinations  to create your very own virtual  alter‐ego.

According to the site you can get your own avatar in few easy steps…

Customize the look of your Avatar
Enter your e-mail address
Receive the Avatar in your e-mail address.

When it came to step 2… instead of entering my email address like I did the first time (which i’m still waiting on my avatar) I just took a screen shot and cropped it in Photoshop. For those who don’t know how to take a screenshot please visit this site.

I recently implemented the MyBlogLog / Gravatar Plugin for wordpress into my blog.
