Battlefield: Bad Company 2 – PAX Online Tournament

Are you good at Battlefield: Bad Company 2…? Do you think you have what it takes? I ask this because the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 community tournament just went live – the NVIDIA Battle for PAX Tournament invites you to squad up with 3 buddies and duke it out against 4 other teams in a unique single-elimination Squad Deathmatch. The PC-only tournament will award the top 4 placing teams of the online tournament with an invitation to compete in the finals at Penny Arcade Expo East (PAX), in Boston, for a chance to win in the $10,000 finals!

Blacklight: Tango Down – Teaser Trailer

From watching the video above to me it looks like it takes place in Gotham City. But according to IGN the game known as “Blacklight” is a covert military action epic set twenty-five years in the future. The game has a release date of Q2 2010.

Well the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fanatics don’t have to wait too much longer for the downloadable multiplayer maps. Mainly because according to the Mapathy website and fourzerotwo who states that they will hit the Xbox 360 on March 30, 2010.

That’s right ladies and gents… as I mentioned a bit back they were going to be released sometime in the spring well looks like spring is right around the corner! Battlefield Bad Company 2 – Server Issues Update

With all the traffic going to the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 servers on opening game weekend they’ve encountered some outages. Well needless to say they are hard at work at fixing the problem. Here’s brief overview of the current server status:

  • X360 was severely impacted, and the service is being restarted. It should be back online and we are monitoring closely.
  • PC had an outage, but the service is offline currently and the service is being restarted. It should be back online and we are monitoring closely. We will then start checking the quality of the customer experience to determine possible next steps.
  • PS3 appeared to have a brief outage, but has quickly recovered and the services is functioning properly at this time.

All teams are working on diagnosing and remediating the issue, including adding additional servers to help alleviate the load. The EA team sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience and I’ll continue to provide you with further updates on the latest developments as they are occur.
