After reading Major Nelson’s post about Silverlight ads on Xbox 360 and his explanation of how ads are going to be “a more organic part of the dashboard” I just sit back and ask myself why am I paying $50 a year to have ads shoved in my face. Here’s an idea the people at Mico$oft can think about… why not place all the ads you want on the Silver account holders? Ohhh wait I’m sure that once they too see the ads they’ll soon wonder “why would I pay $50 a year to have ads shoved in my face?” hmmm… I may just be eyeing up a discounted PS3 that usually come out around the holiday.  ehh this is just my opinion I can only imagine what’s in store next a possible Xbox Live price increase? Ahhh yes nothing like starting the 4th of July holiday weekend off right by having Double XP for Gears of War 2. Here is what was mentioned over on the EpicGames forum…

Starting Friday morning you’ll be receiving double XP as well as a 500 XP bonus awarded to the winning team. And to give a little extra bang to Horde we’re bringing the Ticker squad (a group of Tickers that all spawn at the same time) into full effect. They’ll be showing up a lot more throughout all the waves of Horde and they’ve completely infested every 10th wave with nothing but Tickers. So if you’ve been having trouble with Bloodmounts, this weekend is a good time to get your Horde on and get further than ever before. And don’t forget that TU4 will give you experience for every wave you beat.

The game known as “This is Vegas” is pretty much going on my to buy list. The game is packed with action! While playing the game you are allowed to do some of the following; Build a reputation by racing cars and making cash, Gamble by playing slots, blackjack, or poker and in addition to Dance in clubs and hook up with random girls. Now I don’t know about you but just from those three things the game is in my book awesome. The game seems as if you could combine GTA & Saints Row to create a game with their feature and designed it to take place in Vegas.

There’s a new game coming out October, 27 2009 that is somewhat similar to Rock Band except your a DJ! The new game is called DJ Hero… the DJ Hero has bundle that comes with a turntable for mixing tunes.The game is designed for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and the Nintendo Wii.

WOW the skateboard controller that is going to be used for the Tony Hawk Ride game looks as if it may end up in some TV’s… kind of like the Wii contollers when the Nintendo Wii first came out. The skateboard controller / item weight is only 5 pounds so it’s pretty light. Ehh I do admit the game looks pretty cool though… Here is a snippet of information from IGN and here is the trailer for the game.

Tony Hawk: Ride features a wireless skateboard controller designed in conjunction with the game to offer a dynamic gaming experience built from the ground up. Using a combination of accelerometers and motion sensors, the intuitive controller allows players to physically control the action by performing various movements and gestures on the board that directly translate into amazing tricks in the game. The killer game called Brütal Legend stars the actor / musician Jack Black who plays the role of roadie named Eddie Riggs, a man who sets on an epic quest to build an army of rockers with only a broad axe, a big block V8 and his faithful guitar in hand… The release date for this awesome looking game is October 13, 2009. So are you looking to take advantage of the government offer to give you up to $4,500 cash for clunkers cars? the main question that prett much everyone is asking is “What Vehicles Will Be Eligible For The Voucher?” Well over at Edmunds they have compiled a list of the vehicles that will likely be eligible for the “Cash For Clunkers” voucher.
