My $30 Xbox 360 Elite Gaming Console

Ok it wasn’t too long ago I wrote about my new HALO 3 Limited Edition Xbox 360 where I got a great deal from Best Buy because of their replacement plan. Well after last night that same console got the E 74 error.

I searched around for my Best Buy paperwork for the replacement / protection plan. Once I found it I noticed today (October 19th) was the last day of the protection plan. So after work I hurried over to my local Best Buy store to exchange it with a new system… Weeeeeell, I get there and the customer rep says that I can’t exchange my current hard drive for the new one I actually have to pay the $49 transfer fee. So I was like WTF? ehh wanting to keep all my stuff I said ok… She then told me while she was on the phone I should go pick out a new one. Well needless to say all they had were the arcade versions and the elites. So I told her I wasn’t going to go for the Arcade version and she said I didn’t have to she said I could actually get the elite version and I’d get $100 back. Because, the HALO 3 version when I bought it was $399 and the elite systems are now only $299. I was like “hells yeah!” when it came down to checking out it went like this:

Old system	$399
New system	- $299
Which gave me	+ $100
The transfer data fee	- $49
2 Year replacement plan fee	- $79
Total cost of my elite xbox 360	$28 plus tax

The moral of my story is that I guess it really does pay to buy the Best Buy replacement plan if you know the product you are going to buy has a history of breaking down in a year or two.Similar Posts:

My Blog Undergoing a Re-brand and Redesign

My blog (the one you’re reading) is undergoing a redesign which will allows me to re-brand my site to make an icon / avatar that is suitable for the name of the blog “revenue robot“. Above is a screen shot of what I plan on replacing this current site with… granted it needs some more tweaks here and there. The site should be replaced with the new template within a few more weeks (hopefully sooner). My new site will include a free downloadable eBook which shows you steps to take to start your own blog. I am also contemplating on rotating the backgrounds out each time the page loads kind of like the MTV website has theirs. My Site was Down for Hours

How to Remove the Sagipsul Virus

While at work the other day I was surfing around the net to a few of my favorite sites when all of a sudden I get a pop up window that went behind my current window that I was viewing. Well I use Firefox as my browser and it has a pop up blocker built in so I thought it was weird that the window just popped up like that so I clicked to close it. Nothing else happened for a few minutes so I log out of my computer and then went to lunch. When I return from lunch and log into my computer I noticed several browser windows that were open… So I instantly thought WTF! Thinking someone signed onto my computer when I was at lunch but, nope that wasn’t the case I got a virus!! So I started searching stuff like “random pop up windows” “Firefox pop up virus” and things along those lines… I kept noticing the URL of the sites that kept coming up were from “sagipsul.com” so I did a few searches for that and it just kept doing a loop of information. So needless to say I had to get a hold of my IT guys to help me remove the virus. Below is pretty much what I saw them do to remove the Sagipsul virus / malware.

Download Malware Bytes
Once downloaded restart computer and press F8 to get to the screen that allows you to run your PC in “Safe Mode”.
Once your PC starts in “Safe Mode” Run the Malware Bytes software.
After the software is finished delete all the bad files that it found on your PC.
Next restart and press F8 to get back to the “Safe Mode” so you can Detect and repair disk errors. Here is a great tutorial on how to do just that.
Once the scan for disk errors is complete then restart your computer again and press F8 to get back to “Safe Mode” so you can Run the Malware Bytes software again.
After the Malware Bytes software is completed then delete any new items that it found.
Now you can restart your PC the normal way you would and the virus / malware should be gone.

Please note this may or may not work for you. I’m simply providing this information because, this is how the virus / malware was removed from my PC. If you found this to work or if you know of another way to remove it then please feel free to leave a comment stating how it could be done.Similar Posts:

5 Things I Hate About Other Drivers

While taking my daily commute from work today I sat in my car while traffic would barely move and I thought hmmmm.. what do I hate most about other drives and the way they drive? Well with that in mind I started to jot them down.

So now I present to you 5 of the worst things I hate when it comes to other people and the way they drive.

5	Cellphone People – When I pull up to someone while driving and I notice that they are on a Cellphone it just drives me crazy not the simple fact that they are on the cellphone it’s the fact that they are either driving too slow or are driving all over the road.
4	Toss of a Cigarette - When people toss out a cigarette when they drive. OMG that just makes me want to throw a molotov cocktail in there window cause that’s pretty much what they are doing to my bumper if the cherry of their cigarette sticks to my car.
3	Slow People – Granted it’s against the law to speed but come on when it’s a 45 mph zone and the person in front of you is doing 30 mph this just drives me crazy! It’s like everyone turns into a Sunday driver when you have to be somewhere on time.
2	Loud Speaker People – When it comes to this I just look at them and shake my head because they are usually driving in a older Hyundai (yes a Hyundai) that they are trying to sport up to race their friends the money they used to buy their crappy speaker system could have been a nice down payment on a better car then what they have.
1	The Casual Wave – It’s when you have to common courtesy to let someone cut in front of you while in traffic and they don’t have the respect to give a thumbs up, a wave, or anything to thank you for letting them in front of you.

Tallahassee Adventures

Over the past weekend I went to visit some friends up in Tallahassee. While up there we decided to visit this pretty cool Florida State Park called Alfred B. Maclay Gardens. If you are ever up in the Tallahassee area I’d suggest checking the place out. It’s filled with over grown Oak trees and Pine trees.

The above photo was taken by my friend as I attempted to jump over a long narrow pond / pool. The trip to Tallahassee was pretty fun I can’t wait to go back and visit again…Similar Posts:
