My sarcastic title says it all… I’ve found a few blogs who’s owner I thought were ok bloggers…. However, they turned out to be just uncreative content thieves who visit my site just to steal my content. I recently had to implement the image below (i love revenuerobot) to stop people from using my images on their sites/blogs a practice called “hotlinking”. I used this great tutorial on how to stop hotlinking to my site…

At this time I chose not to call them out (name them) however, if this does continue I shall bring to the table their sites and screenshots of the stolen posts just to show how pathetic and untrustworthy theses people are…

Just one thing I have to say to all this if you are going to use anything of mine content or images…

Hello everyone…! If you’ve visited my site before you may notice a major change in things. Such as the blog layout and my RevenueRobot icon. Below is an image of what I had before and what I have now.

I’ve gone threw several different logo designs as well as icon designs before I just stuck with just one. In addition to the icons and logo I couldn’t decide on a color combo either. So I went with my favorite color “olive green” and lighter shades of green with a hint of gray.

So please let me know if you come across and bugs because this blog is a work in progress! As a note I am still leaving my old icon on my old site whereas it would be more of a pain to create something for that site. I’m keeping that content up till January of next year because, I still get traffic to the site and just wanted to keep it up a whole year before I took it down. Also please feel free to leave a comment on what you think of the new blog layout, coloring and/or branding icon.

Since I recently installed the IKEA laminate floors in my house I figured i’d decorate the living room a bit more by adding a nice entertainment center. I went to IKEA and purchased the black-brown BESTÅ / INREDA entertainment center with sliding doors. I upgraded the sliding doors with the BESTÅ HOLMBO sliding doors. In my opinion they looked much nicer then the black-brown ones that come with it. What do you think…?

Well I mentioned about a month back that I was only 85% complete with the installation of my IKEA laminate flooring. As of this past weekend I have completed about 98% of the full floor installation. I’ve added the baseboards and finished painting the walls. The only 2% of work I have left is connecting the area where the laminate floor hits the tile or carpeted areas (which shouldn’t be too bad).

My experience with the installation of the SLÄTTEN IKEA laminate floors was pretty good. However, I over bought when it came to the boxes of laminate floor planks. I purchased 28 boxes and only needed 15 + 1 for later use if needed. So I ended up having to return the other 12 boxes which wasn’t too bad.

When it came to the padding under the laminate floor I opted for Fiberboard… the NIVÅ Floor liner. Only for the simple fact that I recently put in laminate floors in my home office and used foam padding under the laminate flooring and in my opinion the foam padding made my floor echo a bit more.

As I mentioned before I’m in the process of installing IKEA Laminate flooring (link). I started the DIY process this past Friday night (May 9th). Below are the steps that I’ve taken so far as well as what I have left to complete the job… I’m probably about 85% complete with the laminate floor installation project.

Step 1.) I moved as much furniture out of the room. [complete]
Step 2.) Pull up the base boards around the room. [complete]
Step 3.) Pull up and cut the carpet into sections small enough to place into large trash bags. [complete]
Step 4.) Pull up and cut the carpet padding into small enough to place into large trash bags. [complete]
Step 5.) Tape board spacers onto wall to guide the laminate wood along the wall (seen in photo w/blue tape). [complete]
Step 6.) Place installation / padding board onto floor then tape them together. [complete]
Step 7.) Start to lay down laminate flooring from one side to another and cut where needed. The angle in my living room suck to cut as well as around door ways! [incomplete still needs about 1/4 of the room to fill]
Step 8.) Place the trim /border along the bottom of the floor. I’m going to go with a 4 inch version this time. The previous owners had the cheap 2 inch stuff throughout the whole place. [incomplete]

To fully complete steps 7 & 8 I must continue my IKEA laminate floor installation project next weekend. So be sure to check back next weekend to catch a glimpse of the completed laminate floor.

I went to the Orlando IKEA store today to check out their laminate flooring and furniture. Reason being I’m looking to replace the carpet in about 85% of my house. A while ago I replace the flooring in my office which was a pain. However, from learning what I now know about installing laminate floors I feel a little more confident to do more rooms in my house. Here is the laminate flooring I plan to buy from IKEA… It’s called SLÄTTEN it’s a new laminate floor they have at IKEA. It’s priced at a very affordable price: ($16.09 per box / 24.757 sq feet / Price per sq feet: $0.64). When I tried to shop at any of the local hardware stores the lowest price per sq foot was in the range of ($1.11-$1.47). Well I guess it pays to shop around… IKEA is a great place to find deals!

I use Statcounter as my statistics tracker for my blog and many of my other sites that I have. Mainly for the easy user ability they have to offer and the easy to read charts and what not… However, I’m not writing about how great my statistics counter is I’m writing about how I tend to come across people stealing my stuff and leaving my statcounter tracking code on the page when they go to view it. (as seen in the photo below)
This has happened to me in the past with someone stealing my WHOLE portfolio design and using it for their company. I was a little ticked off because they were in another country and I really couldn’t do anything about it. Has this happened to anyone else…???

I recently check out the traffic details / stats that Alexa shows for my blog which is currently ( 313,842 ). Which in my opinion is pretty good considering I just recently started this blog. As tax timerolls around for another year I often wonder to myself what would happen if (god forbid) I died tomorrow..?

I often wonder this because, I make a good amount of money monthly from blogging and other websites that requires no real work to generate it. So if I were to pass away that means the checks / direct deposit would keep coming in… which is crazy because I seem to be the only one in my family who only knows my logins and my ways of making money. As for some of the revenue I generate from some of my sites it’s direct deposited into the same account my advertising costs come from… so If I were to pass away the revenue / advertising cycle would just keep going and going long after I’m gone…

What do you all think about the subject..? Have you thought about this same scenario at all..?

Although I still don’t have the Halo3 game yet I do have the Halo3 console. It all happened this past weekend it went to my local Best Buy store to exchange my current / original xbox 360 because mine was messing up. But, when I get there the person behind the counter says that they were out of the original xbox 360’s. So I was like WTF??? you’re kidding me right..?? I asked if I could pay the difference and get the elite or the Halo 3 version and she said yeah I could pay $50 more and get the elite or just pay nothing and get the Halo3 version… I was like “I’ll gladly take the Halo 3 version” So pretty much needless to say all I had to do was renew my service plan for 2yrs ($59.99) and the Halo 3 console is mine… That made my weekend!

I recently got purchased a new Cellphone. I picked the Palm 755p Dark Blue Smartphone (Sprint). It’s really niccce and easy to manage… I tried the Upstage Phone for like two weeks but, then decided it was waaay too hard to text someone with that phone. However the music capabilities the phone offered were awesome..

I had the Sprint Pocket PC 6700 before I started looking for a new phone. And the only reason I wanted a new phone is because the little joystick that helps you navigate the phone stopped working… and needless to say I forgot to purchase the Phone Insurance at the time. Ehhh that’s pretty much how it works… I don’t buy the Insurance and it breaks and when I buy the insurance it last forever.

ahhhh… I went out and bought a few used games (NHL 2k6 and College Hoops 2k6) yesterday they are older games so they give higher gamer points when you earn achievements within the game. Well, while I was playing them I just happened to notice my gamerscore when a friend of mine sent me a message on Xbox live. I was like holy hell… I just broke a gamer score of 10,000 I was pretty stoked considering i’m somewhat of a gamer point whore according to some of my friends. Well I just thought I’d share some of my happiness with you…
