University of southern California researchers suggest us a more efficient use of graphene photovoltaics. Is it possible to imagine people powering their cell phone or music/video device while jogging on a sunny day?

A University of Southern California team has produced flexible transparent carbon atom films that may have great potential for a brand new variety of solar cells. Inside a paper recently published in the journal ACS Nano, researchers stated that organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells have been proposed as a technique to get cost effective energy due to their ease of manufacture, light-weight, and compatibility with flexible substrates. This work shows that graphene, a highly conductive and highly transparent kind of carbon consisting of atoms-thick sheets of carbon atoms, has high potential to fill this role. While graphene’s existence has been known for decades, it has only been studied extensively since 2004 because of the impracticality of manufacturing it in high quality and quantity.

The title of this post is the same question I asked Facebook and here is the answer they provided… “Unfortunately, a list of pending friend requests is not available.” Which is kind of weird to me since all the technology that is involved with the implementation of Facebook you’d think they’d be able to let you know. Ehh even the ole’ Myspace site does!

Well anyways here is the Facebook Help page that answered my question for me and if there are any updates saying that Facebook allows us to view pending friend request I’ll create another post letting you know. So you might want to subscribe to the sites RSS feed to stay up to date.Similar Posts:

The 2010 IRS Tax Extension Forms and Information

When it comes to tax time have you ever wondered “How To Request More Time To File Your Tax Returns” well look no further! A Tax Extension Form allows late taxpayers extra time to fill out their 2010 returns, six more months to be exact. However, the IRS notes that it is “not an extension of time to pay” and any balance due must be paid when you file your extension.

You can find the 2010 Tax Extension Form online at the IRS Web site.

The IRS specifically recommends a service called FreeFile to fill out your extension form. The official Tax Extension Form is known as IRS Form 4868. You must file such an extension form for both federal and state taxes. Good luck and remember next year don’t wait so long to file! Similar Posts:

Over at savetheinternet.com it states that there are “more than a million everyday people who have banded together with thousands of non-profit organizations, businesses and bloggers to protect Internet freedom“. Why you ask..? It’s all about Net Neutrality! So what are you waiting for? Take Action: Sign the petition to Congress – and save the Internet! Just when you think you’ve seen all that twitter has to offer you come across a site like TwitShirt. Over at the TwitShirt site it allows you to take a twit of yours, your friends or anyone you know and convert the twit into a t-shirt. Pretty cool right? Check out the TwitShirt site to see what i’m talking about… Ohh and another cool thing they do is for each TwitShirt they sell with your tweets on it, you get one dollar! Facebook Lite: The Better Facebook Profile

Are you tired of all the extra ads and stuff displayed on your Facebook profile or the profiles you visit? Do you wish you see less ads on your Facebook profile? Well then look no further Facebook Lite is the light at the end of the tunnel. The screen shot above shows that you can make Facebook Lite your default landing page for your Facebook profile or stay with the standard Facebook profile. If you visit the Facebook default settings page you’ll be able to choose which style you want for your default Facebook profile.

It’s great for someone looking to start up their own Facebook app. However, if you want your application to stand out in the Facebook Apps Directory then you’d better come up with something pretty catchy because there are more than 350,000 Facebook applications for their 300 million active users. There are also guides out there like Building Facebook Applications For Dummies or the Facebook Application Development Guide.

Blue Screen – ATIKMDAG.SYS when using Dual Monitors

I just recently purchased my DELL PC with the capabilities to run dual monitors. However, about an hour or two of working with both screens (Photoshop on one & Dreamweaver on the other) all of a sudden I’d get the “blue screen of death” (BSOD). At first I was like WTF? the PC is brand new! So the first thing I did was unplug the connection to the PC and monitor and restart the PC thinking that would work… nope! Soon after I’d get the BSOD again… this time I thought hmmm something is wrong so I called Dell customer support hoping they’d help. WRONG! The guy on the other end of the phone tells me that it might be my software and I’d have to pay for software tech support… SO I started arguing with the guy about paying for software support when the PC is new so I said “I just bought the PC!!” he then said “either pay for the software support or buy a new graphics card which may be the problem” I was like “are you kidding me?? I just purchased this PC less then six months ago and you want me to purchase new hardware inorder for it to work properly??” WTF!

So after the Dell customer support battle I Googled the error that I was getting which was “Display driver atikmdag stopped responding and has successfully recovered” or it’s something along those lines… the BSOD happens so fast that it’s hard to capture the exact phrase. I haven’t gotten any luck from Dell as to If they are going to send a replacement graphics card or something to help this error stop. However, I have found a bunch of sites that are geared towards this same topic. Here they are below… If you know of any others please feel free to leave them as a comment.

I have yet to find a solid fix or solution for the Atikmdag error however I check the above sites often and try out the new solutions so If I happen to come across anything that works I’ll post about it. Remove Yourself from Third-party Facebook Ads

Have you ever used an application on Facebook and It shows your photo in an ad or a friend of yours? Well have you ever wondered how you could remove yourself from the ads shown on Facebook? Well here’s how you do it follow these simple steps…

Click on Settings up at the top to the left of the Log out link.
Select Privacy. Then select News Feed and Wall.
Select the tab that reads Facebook Ads.
There is a drop down box, select No One. Then Save your changes.
