I’m not much of person who gets all crazy and starts supporting everything… However when you start messing with my internet then I have to get involved and so should you! Over at savetheinternet.com it states that there are “more than a million everyday people who have banded together with thousands of non-profit organizations, businesses and bloggers to protect Internet freedom“. Why you ask..? It’s all about Net Neutrality! So what are you waiting for? Take Action: Sign the petition to Congress – and save the Internet! Just when you think you’ve seen all that twitter has to offer you come across a site like TwitShirt. Over at the TwitShirt site it allows you to take a twit of yours, your friends or anyone you know and convert the twit into a t-shirt. Pretty cool right? Check out the TwitShirt site to see what i’m talking about… Ohh and another cool thing they do is for each TwitShirt they sell with your tweets on it, you get one dollar! Facebook Lite: The Better Facebook Profile

Are you tired of all the extra ads and stuff displayed on your Facebook profile or the profiles you visit? Do you wish you see less ads on your Facebook profile? Well then look no further Facebook Lite is the light at the end of the tunnel. The screen shot above shows that you can make Facebook Lite your default landing page for your Facebook profile or stay with the standard Facebook profile. If you visit the Facebook default settings page you’ll be able to choose which style you want for your default Facebook profile.

Here a just a few of the benefits i’ve noticed… No Chat Ability, No Groups, There is like 1 ad on the right instead of 3, and i’m sure there are more benefits to using Facebook Lite it’s just that I recently started. Do you use Facebook Lite if so what do you think about it?Similar Posts:

I recently came across this interesting video that gives a tutorial on How to Write a Facebook Application. It’s great for someone looking to start up their own Facebook app. However, if you want your application to stand out in the Facebook Apps Directory then you’d better come up with something pretty catchy because there are more than 350,000 Facebook applications for their 300 million active users. There are also guides out there like Building Facebook Applications For Dummies or the Facebook Application Development Guide.

Blue Screen – ATIKMDAG.SYS when using Dual Monitors

I just recently purchased my DELL PC with the capabilities to run dual monitors. However, about an hour or two of working with both screens (Photoshop on one & Dreamweaver on the other) all of a sudden I’d get the “blue screen of death” (BSOD). At first I was like WTF? the PC is brand new! So the first thing I did was unplug the connection to the PC and monitor and restart the PC thinking that would work… nope! Soon after I’d get the BSOD again… this time I thought hmmm something is wrong so I called Dell customer support hoping they’d help. WRONG! The guy on the other end of the phone tells me that it might be my software and I’d have to pay for software tech support… SO I started arguing with the guy about paying for software support when the PC is new so I said “I just bought the PC!!” he then said “either pay for the software support or buy a new graphics card which may be the problem” I was like “are you kidding me?? I just purchased this PC less then six months ago and you want me to purchase new hardware inorder for it to work properly??” WTF!

So after the Dell customer support battle I Googled the error that I was getting which was “Display driver atikmdag stopped responding and has successfully recovered” or it’s something along those lines… the BSOD happens so fast that it’s hard to capture the exact phrase. I haven’t gotten any luck from Dell as to If they are going to send a replacement graphics card or something to help this error stop. However, I have found a bunch of sites that are geared towards this same topic. Here they are below… If you know of any others please feel free to leave them as a comment.

I have yet to find a solid fix or solution for the Atikmdag error however I check the above sites often and try out the new solutions so If I happen to come across anything that works I’ll post about it. Have you ever used an application on Facebook and It shows your photo in an ad or a friend of yours? Well have you ever wondered how you could remove yourself from the ads shown on Facebook? Well here’s how you do it follow these simple steps…

Click on Settings up at the top to the left of the Log out link.
Select Privacy. Then select News Feed and Wall.
Select the tab that reads Facebook Ads.
There is a drop down box, select No One. Then Save your changes.

Muck Rack is a site that provides a huge database of journalists from all around the country. The site allows you to submit yourself if you are a journalist or if you know of one that isn’t mentioned on their site. This is a great site for when you have important news to share and you need a local journalist to share it with.

How to copy AIM buddy list to another screen name

I created another AIM screen name so that people could contact me at a new screen name instead of one that I had tied to a company I no longer worked at. However, instead of using that screen name and giving it to new friends with an old company name attached. I decided to create a new one and transfer over all my old friends to my new screen name and let them know… but I thought “How can I transfer (or copy) my AIM buddy list to another screen name on AIM? So I asked a friend and he told me these simple instructions just incase you ever wanted to do the same thing.

Here is what you do…. In order to transfer buddy lists from one AIM account to another you simply save your buddy list. To do this you go to the buddy list menu and click save list. Once you’ve saved your AIM buddy list onto your computer you then sign in with the new SN and “Load Buddy list” located in the same menu as the save buddy list.

I’m always wonder about the different statistics when of comes to my twitter account. I often wonder where I rank among others who twit as well as how did they get there. Well I’ve found the list of twitter statistics and analytical tools below to help me find out that information. Do you know of any others that can help find out your profile statistics? Twitscoop – Twitscoop was built to help you stay on top of Twitter’s hot topics or discussions.

Twitterholic – The website is constantly being updated to allow you to find the most popular Twitter users. So if you want to be on the list then just twit all day.

Tweetstats – A twitter app that tracks your number of tweets per hour and per month. It then allows you to generate a graph based off of your tweets.

Twitter.Grader.com – The Twitter Grader measures the power of your Twitter profile. This is probably my favorite when it comes to the ranking system for Twitter profiles.

Twinfluence – I’d consider this one to be a bit similar to the Twitter Grader shown above. However, Twinfluence calculates the indirect influence of you and your followers on Twitter.

Tweetvolume – Tweetvolume is fairly easy just enter a few keywords or a phrases to see how often they appear on Twitter.

Twittercounter – A great Twitter app that tracks as well as predicts how many followers you have or will have.

Tweetrush – Tweetrush is a service based on our Rush Hour engine that aims to provide estimated stats on Twitter usage over a period of time.

Tweetwasters – Tweetwasters calculates how much time you’ve wasted on Twitter. Compare yourself to your friends see who’s the biggest twit.

Twitter-Friends – Twitter-Friends allows the ability to find out the hidden network of Twitter contacts that are really relevant for you.

Xefer.com/Twitter/ – I’d consider this one to be a bit similar to the Twitter Grader shown above. Twinfluence calculates the indirect influence of you and your followers on Twitter.

I recently started noticing a lot of big name companies that were using twitter as a source of social networking and brand recognition. Once I started noticing all these companies I began to bookmark them until my bookmark folder started to scroll.
