If you’ve ever received a link that looked like this “http://bit.ly/XwvPr” or if you’ve seen people using them over on twitter you may not know this but, they use them to track the statistics of people. There are other sites out there that do similar click statistics however, I’ve notice that the Bit.ly seem to be the more popular ones and I use them myself.

In order to view the statistics of a link you simply do the following…

1. Copy the link that you were sent or one that you’ve come across such as this one “http://bit.ly/XwvPr“.
2. Once you’ve copied the link paste it in your browser address bar.
3. Then between the “.ly/” and the code “XwvPr” add the word “info/” so the link should look like this “http://bit.ly/info/XwvPr

If you’ve followed the steps above you will be able to view the stats of any Bit.ly link.

That’s right my site was featured as the “Website of the Week” over on curtisandkyle.com also known as The Curtis and Kyle Show. They have an interesting site with a twist and tons of things to check out like; Movie Reviews, Pictures, and they have archives of past shows.
