So you’re looking to see how fast you are connected to the internet. Well if you check out the sites listed below they have the ability to run upload and download tests to your connection. There is also a section below that provides some ways to monitor your bandwidth.

New Calendar Year Equals New Information

The title says it all… It’s a new year so all new content is going to be dished out here at the Revenue Robot site. New content as in more creative topics, cheat codes and well as the usual gaming resources.

If you’ll notice that the bottom of the page the “TOP COMMENT KINGS” were removed because its a whole new year. So that means start commenting and get noticed on the site! If you ask a few of my loyal readers they’ll tell you that a bit back I rewarded them with some credit to the Guitar Hero online store. I recently came across this interesting video that gives a tutorial on How to Write a Facebook Application. It’s great for someone looking to start up their own Facebook app. However, if you want your application to stand out in the Facebook Apps Directory then you’d better come up with something pretty catchy because there are more than 350,000 Facebook applications for their 300 million active users. There are also guides out there like Building Facebook Applications For Dummies or the Facebook Application Development Guide.

How to view someones URL Statistics on Bit.ly

If you’ve ever received a link that looked like this “http://bit.ly/XwvPr” or if you’ve seen people using them over on twitter you may not know this but, they use them to track the statistics of people. There are other sites out there that do similar click statistics however, I’ve notice that the Bit.ly seem to be the more popular ones and I use them myself.

In order to view the statistics of a link you simply do the following…

Copy the link that you were sent or one that you’ve come across such as this one “http://bit.ly/XwvPr“.
Once you’ve copied the link paste it in your browser address bar.
Then between the “.ly/” and the code “XwvPr” add the word “info/” so the link should look like this “http://bit.ly/info/XwvPr

If you’ve followed the steps above you will be able to view the stats of any Bit.ly link.Similar Posts:

My Site Featured over on The Curtis and Kyle Show

That’s right my site was featured as the “Website of the Week” over on curtisandkyle.com also known as The Curtis and Kyle Show. They have an interesting site with a twist and tons of things to check out like; Movie Reviews, Pictures, and they have archives of past shows. The section I like that they have on their site is the The Sports Profit… If you are wondering what “The Sports Profit” is then here is a great explanation from the site “The Sports Profit is a handicapper who has been making his observations and offering picks on the internet for over 5 years. He seeks out lines that offer exceptional value given the statistics going into a game.“.

My Blog Undergoing a Re-brand and Redesign

My blog (the one you’re reading) is undergoing a redesign which will allows me to re-brand my site to make an icon / avatar that is suitable for the name of the blog “revenue robot“. Above is a screen shot of what I plan on replacing this current site with… granted it needs some more tweaks here and there. The site should be replaced with the new template within a few more weeks (hopefully sooner). My new site will include a free downloadable eBook which shows you steps to take to start your own blog. I am also contemplating on rotating the backgrounds out each time the page loads kind of like the MTV website has theirs.
