I guess people couldn’t wait to get their hands on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Because over at InformationWeek they have a detailed article explaining the situation. It also mentions how some of the players actually modified their consoles to play pirated games…
Aside from all the people being banned Major Nelson recently twitted the following statement… “We just hit a new #XboxLIVE record: Over TWO MILLION people connected to the service at once.” Which is pretty impressive since they are now missing over a million people. Ehhh one good thing the banned Xbox 360 gamers can look forward to is that they now sell the PlayStation 3

Playing MW2 on PS3 yesterday I saw a guy get 47 kills in approximately 3 minutes on regular TDM… and I got the accolade for most ADS kills with 12 total. Something a little fishy there, I think.
@JD dammmmn man 47 kills?!?!? that is insane! but yeah something a little strange about that
That guy I think was cheating some way or another just because of how fast he did it… and within about 90 seconds of the start of the next match he already had 22 kills and a Pave Low ripping everyone up.
I got 47 kills on Chinatown in TDM once but it took a whole match and some badass airstrikes and helicopters and alot of luck. In nearly two years of playing COD4 I think I saw around 10 people get 40 kills in a TDM match, and four or so were mine. Already in less than a week of MW2 I’ve seen almost that many people get 40-kill matches.
I actually had a match yesterday, 40 kills and 5 deaths… pretty crazy. Had a 20-kill streak at one point… I just couldn’t stop killing people… it was fun as hell
I didn’t do it in three minutes but I can imagine some of the guys I was killing were pretty pissed.
