@dc here are 2 answers that may help answer your PS3 server problem. Randolph d'Amore states over on twitter: "We don't have a hard ETA on the servers coming back up, but the outage is totally unrelated to the patch."

Robert Bowling states over on twitter: "Xbox Live servers are maintained and ran by Microsoft. PSN servers are ran and maintained by 3rd party companies hired to do so."

And then later on he mentioned... "Final #MW2 PS3 Status update of the day: PSN Multiplayer should be running at full capacity. We expect smooth skies ahead." so from my understanding your PS3 servers should be up and running again... and if not come one over to the dark side and buy an Xbox 360 :)

I don’t pay too much attention to new game releases but I had to jump straight into Call Of Duty Modern Warfare! Best game ever!

I have a new glitch that is incredible, but I will need to talk to someone over yahoo instant messanger to make sure I get credit. It is very helpful in easily getting three stars on spec. ops mission.

Have you got any news on not being able to player online multiplayer last night? when will the servers be back up for ps3 version of the game.
