You do realize that the $701,885 increase in taxes would only apply to those families whose income was greater than $2.87M, right?
Indeed. Obama’s plan raises more taxes on average if you look at brackets like that, but for the majority of citizens (and voters), they’ll see a larger decrease in taxes with Obama. Meanwhile, McCain would give the largest tax cut to the smallest group of people that needs it the least.
