Everything is the same mate get to 65 prestige and start all over again, loose all your guns etc, when you get to the level that opens up head quaters you will be flying hear you achieve loads of points, i at first doubted COD 5 but after a long session on it last night i find it superb……the only downside in my opinion is the tanks, the dogs are fantastic they kill just as many people as the helicopters did in COD 4, i use a thompson with deep impact and the other one cant remeber the name but it does the job, what guns do you boys find good?
To be honest, Iam very dissapointed that there will be 65 m-effing levels of prestige. I plannon going all the way but it’s gonna take forever…

i think the new call of duty prestige badges are really good but it will take along time to get to 10th prestige because of the max levels being 65 and the nooby weapons u start with
I notice alot with WaW in Search and Destroy most of all that new players are too scared to be killed so them barely make it out of spawn…I, on the other hand would rather haul ass in the map and if I die, I learn from that and thats how I learn the maps…Just John Wayne that shit and you have nothing to worry about campers!

Not for nothing, but try using the bolt rifles. Nothing’s moar satisfying than playing a free for all and getting top spot with an Arisaka rocking that bayonet in a server full of Type 100s, Thompsons and MP-40′s with silencers. Tags Reichs88 on ps 3.

Last night mate very funny playing HQ and ok i was on a really good team 3 was prestige level 2 but anyway, They captured the base and everymember of there team was sitting by the capture point….Dum arses i through a Molotove (sorry about the spelling) cocktail in there and took 5 of them out, first time i have ever done that by taking out every member of the other team bar 1..!!!

Joel, maybe you should actually get a clue before you look like a retard. If you make a S&D server that has infinite respawning, you can actually get that many kills and deaths, in fact the highest ive seen is like 350 kills, and like 125 deaths. It basically sabotage, but only one side gets the bomb. EPIC FAIL

i love the gameplay for CoD 5 (xcept the dogs, they are cool, but their hard as shit to kill and they kill you quickly[miss the CoD 4 being tackled then snapping its neck]), but the only thing i don’t really like about CoD 5 is all the brown colors, the burning shit, and just the hue of the air in general, looks TOO dirty, i liked the calm grays of Pipeline and Bloc in CoD 4

played cod 4,got all the way up to commander and the pc/game crashed and put me back to the beginning.was well dischuffed.that was 2 days before cod 5 came out am at level 65now and ummin and ahhin wether to prestige or not as i havent fully unlocked everything yet and the thought of starting again as it takes bloody ages to get 150 headshots with naff weapons in the beginning.
since found out the cod4 crash is a common fault.i enjoyed cod 4 but 5 is better in my humble opinion.am a mohaa veteran and cod 5 seems more like a really updated version different maker of course ,could say its the best of cod+mohaa updated etc.the bigger maps and detail are brill.could do with a proper stats place like bf2 has.again its only my opinion.meanwhile gonna make a brew and mull over prestige and starting again lol.

well am on prestige 9 at the mo (pc) will get 10 later today.ripped thru em pretty easy,just go into free-for-all and look for the AWC dome server.1000pts a kill rank up,remember to come out and upgrade weapon.no rules on the server either so spawnkill away.once i have level 60 on prestige 10 i will then revert to normal servers and start on the challenges proper.at least i’ll have 10 class’s to pick from with all weapons available.hope this helps.o aye and a nice pretty badge to boot lol

I bought myself CoD 5 before 2 days and im Prestige 3 level 61…if you didnt notice there are some fast level up servers and they are many many many…half of the servers are fast rank up ….fast level up etc…so its fucking eazy to get to prestige 10 and this servers kinda ruin the game cuz it is stupid like that…i already saw many 10PRESTIGE guys…(who were noobs)
If you have CoD 5 on the computer, search for the server house of pain, there you will get 500 exp each kill you make

it says next level is prestige 1 because it is.however you dont have to do it unless you go to barracks, then prestige mode.

Like ‘boss’ says, it is the next rank but you won’t have to go onto it. I think the problem you’re having is that you have reached level 65 but not filled up your whole level 65 xp bar, because in COD4 when reaching level 55 you had to fill up the whole xp bar as well to unlock prestige mode.
Oh and guys stop saying how much better we are compared to other people, I mean, it’s a game, ok? Supposed to be ‘fun’.

Hey guys. First thing, Hope you all have a great New Year with families, friends, and gaming. I think that call of duty world at war is excellent Game and i would reccomend it to anyone. I have played like 2days and 10 hours and i am rank 57 first prestige. Once going up Prestige i have found it longer to get up to rank 65 than the first time i done it, Is it just me or is it true lol.
I looked back at some of the comments and people were asking what guns are good to use and people looking for new ones to here is my oppinion.
Free for all – MP40, Type 100, MG42, Fg42 and Thompson (all with stopping power)
Team Deathmatch(and all other games really) – MM40, DP-28(machine gun), Thompson, Type 100, PPSh-41, Gewehr 43(rifle), STG-44(rifle), PTRS-41(sniper), MG42 and FG42(all with stopping power espacially sniper and Bandolier)
Search and Destroy – for me Search and destroy gun is either Thompson with extra ammo in clip, stopping power, Bomb squad and extreme conditioning or PPSh-41 with all the same perks.
Pistol – for me the magnum is powerful like desert eagle but not accurate. I like the colt and Nambu.

Here’s a little tip for those new beginners, who seemed to always get killed. I followed this rule of mine and I started to win all my free for all matches, I was quite impressed.
On free for all, never stay in one place, keep on the move and watch every corner. Never stand still, it gives your enemy’s time to locate you. After killing an enemy they’ll sometimes look for you in the same spot, move and get a vantage point.

good tip The_T but i would say to new begginers to always use stopping power because that helps out alot with thompson or mp40(when rank 10) just do boot camp until you can’t do it anymore because boot camp is full of rubbish players and if you played cod4 then you will probberly be better than them that did’nt.

ehhh….don’t really like this Call of Duty. the online play is horrible in my opinion. definitely prefer cod4 over this one, cuz too many people spawn kill me. campaign is awesome though.
cod5 is ok but some of the guns are hard to use.i like it how they have reduced clips on the lmg’s stops peeps from sprayig n praying i guess thers only a few bad points about the game…. 1 the tanks are one of the most annoyin things that spoil the game because thers always some noob who sits in it and annoys every 1.2 some of the sniper rifles dont always register your hits and are random with the amount of power they produce sometimes it can be a 1 hit kill other times just a “x”.3 many of the maps are really dark and very hard to spot people. i play on a 50″ hd tv and sometimes still find it really hard to spot people. I i think that w@w is a aquired taste tbh but i agree with many peoples comments that it is just an upscaled version of call of duty 3 and cant really be compared with call of duty 4 as they are both 2 different kinds of games. 1 more point i love the whole body parts flying everywere thing =)

rank 45 prestige 2 now cod5 had a 28 kill streak other day on roundhouse without camping or glitching under map. just used type100 with silencer thing got 15kill streak with that and dogs then got in a tank and blew em up

Yeah i agree about people go under the map and think their the best because they saw how to get under there on youtube and when they can’t get under the map there pathetic. To be honest i sometimes go under the map just to get good kill ratio but mostley i don’t. Only 5 maps you could get under the map of and 2 of them are sealed.

Juggarnaught is the opposite of stopping power, it depends whether you want to kill people faster, or stay alive longer, if you have stopping power against someone who has niether, ul win, if you have juggarnaught against someone with nieher ul win. but then juggarnaught vs stopping power, i guess the stopping power guy has to be accurate, what do you think?

1 awesome perk i always used in cod4 hardcore search and destroy was my golden AK (red dot sight) with bondoleer, double tap, deep impact
since u got lots and lots of ammo u can shoot through any surface/wall cuz of deep impact so its harder damage and increased rate of fire is useful cuz hardcore s&d u dont need stoppin power jus try it and watch for urself…u will be unstoppable with this class i guarantee u
1 thing i hate about games like cod is the options where the brightness looks pretty low and then if u set it higher by any margin it feels even worse like way too bright and then u get lost cuz u cant reset it back to default except by tryin to put it back to where it originally was..it ruins ur peace of mind

World at War isn’t nearly as balanced as COD4. I like the level design, particularly on the huge levels. They make for alot more believable sniping, i.e. not camping out in one spot all the time. But… I think W@W is slanted too much towards automatic weapons, the tanks throw things off. The dogs are way too effective, and the artillery is way too ineffective. Even with a perfect connection there seems to be alot of hit detection problems.
But what really annoys the crap out of me… the damage each weapon deals seems to be set arbitrarily. Getting shot with a .30-06 round from a Springfield, Garand, BAR, and BMG should be roughly the same experience but it isn’t. They deal vastly different amounts of damage. The same goes for the 7.62×54, 7.92×57, and 7.7×58 rounds in the other guns. And the MP40? It’s ridiculously powerful, way more powerful than the Thompson. Which makes little sense as a 9mm round is far weaker than the .45 ACP round. That bothers me to no end. But I’m sort of a gun nerd so I know about all that sort of stuff, and it’s just a game so maybe I shouldn’t be so particular, but still…

Yeah, the Springfield, Garand, BAR, and M1919 (yeah, carrying that thing around? it weighs like 30 lbs.) all shoot the .30-06.
The Mosin-Nagant, SVT-40, DP-28, and the Dragunov from COD4 all shoot the 7.62x54R round.
The 98k, Gwr43, FG42, and MG42 all shoot the same Mauser round.
The Arisaka and Type 99 shoot the same round.
As do the Tommy and the 1911, the MP40 and the P38, the TT33 and PPSh-41, and the Nambu and Type 100.
And another thing… I get why they put that “Aperture sight” in, to take the place of the red dot, but I think that’s made up. I’ve never heard of anything like that from that time period.
Overall I just found this game really disappointing. Maybe if COD4 didn’t come out first I would have liked it better but the multiplayer was as I’ve said and it felt like it took about 15 minutes to beat the single-player missions that are all very familiar if you’ve been playing WWII shooters for more than a few years.

Cod WaW for the Wii is absolutely disgusting… There are no multiplayer maps with tanks in them, you only have about 4 game modes.. no HQ or S & D… It’s pretty fun nonetheless.

Just a recap..you all read what happened in my 1st post. Well, we acually found out that the file was corrupted which caused us to lose everything. The way we lost it all was my son was playing in a match and we lost power in a storm to the modem(just for about a minute)..thats what happened. But they are watching for glitchers to suspend accounts. So,be careful if you glitch and dont get disconnected in a match.
sabotage is awesome, just don’t plant the bomb and don’t ;et them plant the bomb for 20 mins of just killing- good for weapon challenges, k:d and exp

message on new call of duty maps : New cod5 map pack will be released on the 19th of march 2009 this will include a new zombie map which has new supprises such as perks. i think you will have to pay for them like the cod4 map pack but i could be wrong.

it took me 2 months to prestige first time, but the 2nd time it took 2 weeks to prestige.

yo i been using this site for mostly the ranks and i been seeing the chats and i just now getting involved. Everyone needs to stop acting so badass and just have fun the game is a game. If you really wanna talk shit then make sure you can back it up as everyone says the same thing and think that they are all that. I’m not addressing anyone just in general. You know who you are. For the people that dont do it at least you show the maturity level to not be like some other people i show a lot of respect to you. Peace

you reach prestige 10???
a ray gun, its more powerfull then a sniper n more effective than a mp40, u also get new perks,
perk 1: u can replace sumthin n have nuclear bomb
perk 2: replace somthin with god mode
perk 3: either gravity mode where u can jump miilles or superspeed, kinda says it in the name, right?
i use my ray gun all the time, i remember getting 15000killstreak on dome. best thing is nobody can pick it up n it has unlimited ammo
when u get to 10th prestige i advise

neculear bomb or flamethrower
godmode
superspeed

maybe someone can answer this question for me. when i reached level 65 and compeleted it, it demoted me back to private, but i can still see my level 65 when i check the leaderboards. has this happened to anyone or know how to fix this?
hey people please its unnecessary to bag on World At War especially if you keep comparing it to COD4 cuz ya they rnt the same, if your still complaining about the old guns or watever get over it. I think they did a relatively great job with the game. i will however make the exception of the sometimes crappy spawn points given the circumstances of the game your playing, very often i find myself spawned right in front of the opposing team with my back turned to them… or often time i am spawned in the view of a sniper on the opposite team.. which does tend to get on my nerves. if Treyarch needs to improve anything at all about the game it is most certainly the spawning system lol. Xbox Gamertag = KrusTy Th3 K1EV so add me if your actually good.

The only thing I hate is Boosters on cod5 also now since they have three nazi zombies games there isnt much else to add .. I like most fo the new maps. One thing i wish they would take out is tghe mp40 and juggernoob i may be only 2nd prestige but ill own any 10prestige any day of the months year ;] add me on Xbox360 no comments unless there good ones.

WTF is with the Wii version of CODWAW, on multiplayer; seriously, no tanks, just ground infantry, i think thats messed up. Cant wait till i get 360 and woopass noobs that go out in the open and get blown up by me. Im already 6th prestige in the WII version of CODWAW, but i dont play everyday like some fat guys who live with their momma. Also, some guy got to tenth prestige in 3 days. i mean i only got to lvl 55 in three days. Cant wait to get a american system. WII SUCKS COMPLETELY!!!!!!!!!

If any1 doesnt know how to get a flamethrower before lvl 65 on CODWAW, first u get a flamethrower, then add a satchel charge on one custom class, then go back and place the flamethrower on the same custom class with the satchel charge, exit out of ur current account, then go and choose another one of ur accounts, and go to create class and choose any custom class u have, then go to perk 1 and there u go, u have a flamethrower, it works for me, now i can burn noobs all the time.
