When you hit a level 55 in the game Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare for the Xbox 360. There is an option that is given that allows you to go “Prestige Mode” it’s almost like a way of saying give up all your current weapons, classes, and challenges to start all over again with a nice little Prestige Mode Icon / Badge. If you choose to take the option of Prestige Mode then you can continue to go Prestige for the max of 10 times (55 levels times 10). Its all done to pretty much show theses awesome Prestige Badges / Icons that are listed below.

What are the benefits of going to Prestige mode? I’m currently only rank 32 on normal and I figure I better figure that out before the time comes. Thanks

u dont unlock anything different than u do in the first ranking no diffrent weapons or perks – and when or if u do go into prestige you lose everything you have unlocked and have to do it agen – and yes this is correct as i am on level 3 prestige.
no you dont gain more weapons lmao. you go to level 55 and unlock all the weapons and if you get a gold weapon along the way to 55.. and if you go prestige you lose all your perks and weapons, along with the gold ones. you basically restart to level 1 to just get a diferent badge next to your level and name
Sorry, you are wrong, no more weapons are unlocked, the benefit, and the only benefit I can blatantly see is that you get a different rank badge, as shown above, this shows you eliteness to other players, although you lose all guns, and it is as if you are starting online mode again.

You get absolutely nothing for prestiging 10x. Its just a way of showing off you much you play the damn game.
no man, prestige is literally what it says on the tin, you just unlock the badge to show off that you are better than others
, each time you need to work your way back up through ranks to re-unlock guns.. makes the game a bit more interesting, and definately makes you better with all guns 
the one good thing that you get out of hitting a level 10 prestige is that you can try to get all the GOLD weapons!!!

I think it kinda sucks, rumors were you could have 2 attachments on your weapons at 10th prestige but its false. You can unlock the gold weapons at any level, you just have to do all the expert challenges in each weapon category.

im lvl 55 on rank 10 prestige and i finished all challenges, the shotgun is mad with gold. And all the other ppl said, u dnt unlock anything knew but i got bored of my lvl 55 prestige dso i start a new one. Add shabs101, im currently 54 non prestige but ill et to like 30 prestige in a few days. Good luck
you don’t unlock anymore thing in prestige than u do when u finish all the ranks the first rime you play. Prestige is just for the icon there is no bonus. You lose all your guns and you lose all your challenges it only leaves your leadership board rankings and stuff like your k/d ratio(kill/death.

yes beause you need to get anther 5,500 xp before u can prestige and thats after u got 55.
you have to gain the last experience points to prestige. and yes you will lose all of your guns, challenges you’ve completed and everything you’ve unlocked. i’m currently level 55 prestige 3 and i have all of the golden weapons except for the golden dragunov.
Every time u choose 4 a new prestige mode, you will have to start all over again. If u want gold weapens, u don’t need 2 start over again next prestige mode. Just stay @ level 55, but u will need 2 complete all chalenges.
When you get to level 55, you may choose to remain on level 55 with all the weapons and perks you have unlocked, or you can accept prestige mode. Prestige mode gives you a special ranking badge next to your name, and takes away all of your weapons and perks that you have unlocked and resets your rank to level 1. You then have to rank up all over again and unlock all the weapons and perks over again. You can to this all ten times to achieve the highest level of prestige mode. There is no real benefit to accepting prestige mode, apart from the fact that you get cool new ranking badges that show you have skill to get this far in the game.
When you go into prestige mode you will play the game with as a lvl 1 ranking but just a different badge logo,you will lose all of your achievements and start as though you are playing from the start again,there are no unlockables in prestige mode which you cant get in the first mode,all you get to make you good again,is current experience nothing else,I should know as i am in prestige myself,Level 2 prestige,Ranked 54,Everything i have just said is correct,there is no need to ask anything about prestige again.

I am level 7 and in my first prestige mode and i was starting to get bored in the late 40′s and 50′s levels becuase there is nothing to do i find it much more fun starting again and unlocking weapons and finding ones which i havent even tried out realising them to be better than the ones i used to use ive only played 4 or 5 games since going prestige but leveling up is a lot easier and it wont take long to get all the guns back once you realise just unlock all attatchments for every gun and you’ll be back up there in no time!

the gold guns r horrible all they do is give away where u r. I highly recommend staying at prestige 0. it also douse not show that your better then other players because I’m a prestige 2 lvl 48 and i can own lvl55 prestige 10s all it shows is that u have no life.
gold guns are fun to have, they don’t really give you away, but it is a little bit easier to see you if you run n’ gun. but all the golden guns look awesome. i’m bout to be on prestige 4 and prolly by 5 in a day or so. it’s not all that bad to prestige, even though you do start all over, it gives you something to do, rather than just stay at 55 and do nothing. to me the barrett sniper isn’t good at all. the M40A3 sniper (the first sniper you unlock) is the best one to me. why don’t you believe alex? my friend prestiged at least 3 times in one week and he’s only 13, his PS3 name is El_Wray.

Well you do unlock somthing extra in prestige mode! =) Everytime you complete a prestige rank an extra grenade is added to the martordom perk so instead of dropping one grenade you drop 2 grenades everytime you die then it increases once you get to level ten prestige when you use the martordom perk you will drop 10 grenades!
Ok, Firstly that was just a stupid rumor and NO You DO NOT get an extra martyrdom grenade drop for every grenade drop. Why? I dont see why the developers would do that in the first place.. Its just plain out retarded and EVERYONE and I do mean EVERYONE would be using the Martyrdom perk making the game just retarded. Secondly for those who keep ask this one question over and over (ie: “Do you keep the Golden Desert Eagle and my Weapons if I do prestige?”) Here’s Your Answer: No you do NOT keep the guns or perks you have. You only keep your online game stats and gain a different level bage for evertime you go through prestige and end up starting again like every new person does.
For the record I am a Lvl. 55 Rank 10 Presitge Player(Golden Cross) and I use the Martyrdom Perk I Do NOT drop 10 grenades everytime I die.
Yep, you loose it all when you go prestige, however… and here’s the really cool bit.. you get to keep your clan tag!!… erm not sure whether that exciting or not. But at least you can go back to shouting and screaming at your inadeqauate weaponry all over again. I like going prestige in an strange deluded and masochistic way.

martyrdom is for children, as is the P90 and the tube. the real badasses run around with a silenced G3 and get headshots without looking down the sights. and i hear once you make it to level 10 prestige, you get a girlfriend
Ninja D is right, I’m a prestige mode lvl 2 with 3 days and 10 hours of play time. Now times that by 5 and you have 410 hours of play time…MY GOD GO OUTSIDE! They should put the k/d ratio next to the name cause that is the only true indicator of skil. I have crushed people who have WAY more play time then me and a k/d of .80 – .99. Mine is 1.14 with 9800 somethin kills and 8500 somethin kills…That is skill, maybe not top notch but at least a better indicator then a little picture you get after slaving away for 410 hours.
Just becuse youre high on the prestige level doesnt mean you don’t have a life you idiots…think about it…like 3 games of sabatage could gofor 15+ min and if you rack up kills or defuse/plant bomb you could easily get over 1500exp points in a game…if that happens like 4 times-ish…which isnt that much really you could get over 6000exp pretty fast….ranking up levels very quickly…it doesnt mean you “dont have a life” my god lol.

I went to prestige mode thinking you unlock new wepons etc, but you don’t. All you get is a new badge lol. Some people say it’s pointless, others don’t. I don’t think it is, as it resets your progress of the game, makes it worth playin all over again. Complete everything and sit at lvl 55 would be abit boring no?

Anyways, I am a 1 Prestige 32, with 2 days, 12 hours, and 23 minutes of gameplay. I have 500 kills over deaths. If you play the game enough to try to find a site with the Prestige badges, which require time to get, that would mean that you are interested in either the design of the badges or are looking forward to going into Prestige. That would also point out the fact that you are more than interested in the game. I will straight out tell you that I am hooked.

Without Perstige mode COD4 would have been boring, People who think Perstige mode is not a good idea are wrong, just wait until your level 55 and you will say to yourself this is gay, im not leveling up. I use to think that but now im on 7th Perstige mode. Besides you get cool looking badge and you will get alot better with the weapons, so put a smile on and do perstige mode. =)

I’m may be only 51 on my 2nd prestige, but I know a little bit about ranking up fast. If your training for your experience search and destroy, and headquarters are very good for the later lvls when it starts taking more exp. When your going for marksman and expert challenges team deathmatch, a long sabotage, or groundwars are really good for racking up those kills. And for all my fellow frustrated snipers, don’t blow a gasket because your stopping power .50 cal didn’t one shot that juggerfag in the chest, simply put on UAV jammer and go to hardcore team deathmatch. Perfect place for sniper marksmans, almost all the hits are one shot kills. Kudos =)

I thought you got double attachments after your tenth prestige. Can anyone with a ps3 version either confirm or deny? It’s possible that this could be an exclusive to the ps3. I Know the pc version doesn’t even have prestige.

I just made it to prestige level 25. I get to call in nuclear strikes from the space station. also i use the hubbell telescope to soom in on the games vechical license plates. Oh and I get to control the weather.

The Prestige medals/icons are actually US Marine Corps./Dept. of the Navy medals; they are, like in real life, prestigious. Nothing more than eye candy. No real rewards for them.

Call of Duty 4 will be coming out with an update, and that update will have new MAPS and PERKS, the new perks will be that you can have *exaple* Red Dot scope WITH a silencer. In order to use the perks you must be in 10th Prestige, and rank 55. This update will be here around the end of March…Thank You

Yeah AFTER GOING prestige lvl 11 the hidden level i unlocked a badge and now i can equip two pistols, i can put on two attachments and can use night vision on all levels anyone saying different is a god damn idiot.
I’m glad I came upon this when I did, cant believe all these people who think you cant go past level ten prestige. Once you get to 11 the new sets that Charlie Oscar Delta released you can have two attachments, duel wield pistols and some other stuff this other guy didn’t mention.

This is all good to know, I’m heading towards lvl 55 the first time round and probably will stay 55 cos I don’t play the game enough. By the time Vegas 2 or whatever comes out I’d probably still be trying to unlock favouriteCOD4 stuff and playing it even less.
It’s handy If you can go prestige at any point once youre 55 though, maybe the new maps due in the spring will keep COD4 going, ahead of the competition.
I don’t see the harm in letting prestige classes keep gold camo for a favourite weapon or something purely cosmetic like a bigger moustache on your face graphics when youre a Russkie (for example)

You do not earn anything new such as guns and perks, but It’s fun to do it all over again. And yes I have the Golden AK and the Golden shotgun
Man, I will say going through prestige a few times has totally changed my weapon choices. When I first started playing I swore by the M16 for a LONG time. Now, its one of the last guns I choose. The last couple times through prestige (Im only on the 4th run) I have just been selecting guns that I didn’t usually use (for me thats sniper rifles and SMGs). This game is what made me go out and buy a 360, and I definitely don’t regret it.
when you get to level 55 prestige 10, do you have the option to start the entire game over where the prestige mode is highlighted? or does it not give you the option?
I’m on bog standard, commander level 55, now in a lvl 55 clan.
I have found out you can still unlock camouflages and gun gizmos, you can also still go for the challenges (if you like ticking boxes) but you don’t get the exp points.
I’ve also found that I am still changing my weapons around a fair bit, trying new ones and unlocking the things I like the look of. I guess staying on 55 is what you make it.
The emphasis of the game has changed now, I’m thinking more long term than I did. I’m spending more attention on getting my kill ratio up, whereas before I’d be looking for the experience reward even if it meant being killed trying to do something strange with explosives, or losing a kill because I missed the headshot.
I am still enjoying the game as much as I did before, that is the point
WHEN I REACHED LEVEL 10 PRESTIGE, AN OPTION IN THE BARRACKS-ELITE MENU GAVE ME AN OPTION OF EITHER A GIFTCARD TO BURGERKING OR WENDY’S. I PICKED BURGERKING CAUSE I LIKE THIER FRIES.
ps. FOR ALL THE GAMERS WHO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, WHEN YOU REACH LEVEL 10 AND HAVE UNLOCKED ALL THE MISSIONS AND STUFF WITH ALL THE GOLD GUNS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO WALK THROUGH WALLS AND SHOOT LASER BEAMS FROM ASS.

two attachments on a gun could make sense, I’d go for the scope/silencer combo on the M14 for a quiet sniper.
But if you give a reward to level10 prestigers then eventually as more people finish prestige, the reward (if its any good) will make the game unfair to new gamers and people won’t play it any more.
If you’re going to allow 2 gadgets on one gun, it would have to be a perk, probably a perk 2 perk (since they are probably the better ones), and you might also have to overhaul the attachment system in case things were incompatible.
I think they got things right, the game is well balanced and fun as it stands.

It seems to me that as you get more prestige you get matched up against players with more prestige. I could be wrong, but my wife is prestige level 1, rank 40 and she gets matched up against newbs all the time. Something to consider.

So let me get this right, people that a horrible at the game which to me are the half of these posts are claiming that prestige mode is for losers, and people with no life. K so do the math idiots, I average 25-30 kills a game, 20 kills on a bad run. I have lost 5% of my total games played. As I go I do challenges …. = EASY EXP = EASY LEVELING. I got a gf, I work Monday-Thursday 6pm-6am = 48-50 hrs of work a week and Im at pres lvl 10. You dont need to have 5,000,000 hours put into the game, just be decent and nobody is forcing anyone to go to prestige mode 10. You douchebags that claim you would have to have no life to get to lvl 10 prestige simply fucking suck at the game, it took you a month or two to get to 55 (me it took 10 days) so now because you are horrible at the game, you think it will take you 10 months to a year to get to where most of us have got in just over 3 months of casual game play. Halo 3, I got rank 50 in everything except Ranked Big Team in less than 15 days of game play. Yes some people suck at shooters and it takes them a while, for the rest of us getting to lvl 10 in COD4 or rank 50 in halo3 is easy. So because you blow at shooter games dont claim we have no lives. Infact do us all a favor and stick to Mario Kart 64. Then cry to your 6 year old sister when she beats you and tell her she has no life cuz she plays it 30 minutes a day more than you.

There should be some kind of reward for Ranking up to Prestige level EACH TIME!!! It should let you choose if you want to get an extra ‘PERK’ or an extra ‘ATTACHMENT’ but NOT BOTH. You can do the other next time you Prestige up. You should be able to use MORE THAN 1 “Perk 1″, “Perk 2″, or “Perk 3″…. adding an extra one every time you Prestige up.
Prestige 1 = 2 attachments OR extra perk, NOT BOTH
Prestige 2 = 2 attachments OR extra perk, NOT BOTH
Prestige 3 = 2 attachments OR extra perk, NOT BOTH

This game needs some realism. I mean, in the campaign mode you have a M4 with silencer, grip, laser, scope and a grenade launcher. Why can’t we have that in the online play? Also, some of the sniper kills are ridiculous. I mean, the crosshairs are’t even near you on the killcam. And another thing, when you get killed, many a time you will probably have fired a bullet at your killer. But when you get killed, it’s as if your bullets evaporate. I mean, are you telling me in real-life that your bullets disappear if you get killed? I though CoD4 was meant to be as real as possible. Still a great game though, so addictive, favourite weapon is my G3 and on a HC Search and Destroy. And I agree that instead of a badge, your K/D ratio should be displayed…

I don’t see why they don’t allow silencers on snipers. In the campaign you had a suppressed M21, so why not in the Live? It would be a bit of a pain in the ass for the people being shit at by the sniper, but the ghillie suits don’t do shit anyways so why the fuck not? That has always pissed me off about Call of Duty 4, teh ghillie suits are NOT realistic. I’ve seen someone in one, they are way harder to spot in real life than in this game. Oh, by the way, you get the golden desert eagle every prestige without even doing anything except for hitting a certain level. It is just like unlocking another gun. The reason I go into prestige is one, I get to show off, two it gets boring after a while, three, I improve my skill on almost ALL guns, four, all my the symbols look better, and lastly I don’t want to do all the challenges, and then get bored because I have nothing else to do and then prestige and lose all of that! Im a lvl 20 eight prestige. Its definately worth it if u enjoy to play and u play at least 2 hours a day. I stayed in 1st prestige for ever and it got really boring. Though I unlocked the golden mini uzi it was jsut really boring. So if u enjoy to play the game a lot then you should go into prestige. If u just play some times and not a lot then just stay where u are.

I am prestige 4 rank 25, i stopped at prestige 2 55 for ages coz i had the gold ak-47, gold mini uzi and the gold shotgun. I prestiged coz it is boring not playing for anything. I would recommend not getting any gold guns until prestige 10. Also it is dead annoying when someone picks up ur gold gun and kills u with it.

Lv. 10 Prestige with all the golden guns doesnt mean that you have no life, some people are just naturally good at the game. I havent played the game in a good month and could still get 30+ kills but that doesnt mean I have no life, stop raggin’ on people cause you never know who has a life or who doesn’t as for the prestige, it just shows skill or time golden guns means you either a.)have good accuracy or

i just reached prestige 10 level 55
and i now have unlocked a perk that allows me to turn into a bullet proof tank! wen u get a 10 kill streak with the tank you have the option to call in a nuclear bomb to destroy everything in the level (including yourself) after the bomb goes off the game is officially ended and you get 5,000 XP
i eventually got a 45 kill streak and unlocked a perk that allows me to control the weather and i now have the power to move helecopters with my mind =DDD

i can get a 15kill streak and call in a army force, that normaly wipes out everyone (i play free for all) then on my 20kill streak i can transform into a crazy ass bullet proof ninja with limbs which fire bullets. long story short, on my 50 kill streak (nearly every game) i turn into god and kill the noob on the other side of the tv… and thier family!

hey i personally love the overkill, slight of hand, and Deep Impact , but what do you guys like 2 use is there a better combo??
my fave class is a primary Silenced MP5 cus it can pop people across the map and rocks close range, secondary is desert eagle first perk–claymore (hide them around the map and -BOOM- kill second perk–slight of hand to get the timing u need and third perk–deep impact to get the wimps hiding behind a wall=-)

Some people who are playing Prestige mode are still GARBAGE, they diserve large cookies next to their names for being fat fucks who do nothing but eat and play COD, the shit is pointless, you have nothing to prove other than you’re a loser and you love COD more than life.

I think the ‘prestige mode’ is pretty neat and gives the game virtually limitless replay value but the only people who really have the time for it are teenaged kids still in school or high school dropouts still living with their parents. I believe I play games way too much as it is but at least I don’t need a symbol next to my gamertag letting everyone know that I’m more or less nerdier than they are. But hey like I said, good idea and better than Halo 3 where you just have to start a new gamertag. I do have one question though about the option to choose ‘prestige mode’. Do you have to decide immeditately after you reach level 55 or can you choose it later on down the line.
Why does everyone keep saying that you need to get a life if prestige to level 10. We are all gamers here, i for one have a girlfriend and kids, and i want to be able to get to level 10 prestige, before cod 5 comes out. All gamers have a life, a fun gaming life!

People that talk shit about players who don’t go prestige are probably just pissed cuz they thought they would get something but they didn’t. Those stupid little icons mean nothing. By prestiging you sacrafioce all your weapons and perks to get a new icon next to your rank. You dont unlock anything special by prestiging. I am a level 7 prestige and i only do it because it gives me something to do so I dont get bored of the game otherwise I would be playing other games instead.

Im gonna take a wild guess and say that you got the xbox then the xbox 360, and you think just because the ps3 is more expensive it sucks because y0ou cant afford it.I got them all the DAY they came out. In comparing the xbox 360 and the PS3 the ps3 is a far superior system in graphics and processing. The xbox 360 is only so popular because of the wide variety of games for it. The last time i checked the xbox 360 had over 1000 games available for it where as the PS3 I doubt breaks even 100. They are making quality games only not shit games for the PS3.

The first person who reached 10th Prestige had just over 7 days played time, and if you compare that to other online games such as Wow where you can easily spend over a 100 days ingame. It really isn’t that much.
If you are in the mood and play about 3 hours a night. You just have to play the game for about 2 months.
You can play casual, more or less and still Reach prestige 10 without much problems. So just shut up about all people at prestige 10 being fat and just eating + playing CoD, it’s just lame, and probably describes yourselves more than others. You don’t need to be fat or have no life to play a game. It’s there to have fun!

First of all, im not sure if this has already been said, but this game isn’t only for the X-Box, and the badges are the same for PS3.
And to the people who ask questions about more badges, and saying we have seen them, heres the answer…
Prestige 1 has more than 1 badge! they have like, 55 badges, 1 for each lvl….
ok, maybe not 55, i can’t remember, but there are different style badges at different lvls.
I heard loose talk that more prestige ranks will be added to CoD4 eventually and once you get to 13 or so, you will be able to have more than one attachment on a weapon

I was playing with “star of vegas” at the weekend and this guy is on his 2nd profile now as in he has been to Gold Cross and has started all over again and the thing is i asked him how is he that good and trust me i think he is another level mate he has stats like 3.23 kills to death ratio and i have played several times with this guy and he batters everyone….The point is mate he has his controller on “INSAINE” and this he says is the key to being really good at this game….I tried it and no chance my reactions are just far too slow….What controller setings do you have yours set at?
i got my sensitivity on 8 maybe 9 on some maps n i use either a m40Ao3 acog or a ak47 gold silenced (maybe a m16 instead) if it was just me playin on my psn i would probs have a better kd ratio but i stupidly let other ppl use it

People really enjoy playing COD mate and the addiction of trying to get to the highest rank in prestige (if you want to prestige great if not great)if all part of the game, when you play and you watch your piers who are better than you it is normal to want to be as good as if not better….I personally am too old to argue over who is better as it is clearly there to see in the stats and the stats talk for them selfs, People challenge others in cage match to see who is better this is all part of male pride and is normal in the gaming world to do so,My clan “DoGz” doesnt have any tryouts mate if you want in then your welcolm, others that have tryouts are simply because they are normally at such a high level they dont want people in who cant keep up with the pace which i can fully understand, poeple obsess on getting to level 10 prestige because once you have gone prestige there is a willingness that keeps you going to get to the max level myself included i am just about to start prestige 9,Sabotage point mate in regards to not planting the bomb is to max out on points.

what are u retarted? u dont unlock more wepons when u go prestige, i should know cause im on my 10th in cod4 and cod5 im on my 1st. and in cod 5 u unlock more custom slots to make more classes.
and going prestige is one of the best things 2 do online, cause its not a waste a time and shows how good u really are. its only a waste of time when u just stay at the rank u are when u could still be leveling up!

I agree with Victor that it may be good to go into prestige, for me personally it was. Heres a small list of the cons/pro’s of going into this mode (My personal list)
Cons:

1. Deletes your XP, levels, unlocked weapons, accomplishments etc.
Pros:

1. The feeling of a new game.
2. Gaining levels again…that for me was a big deal.
3. Enjoying old weapons I may have forgotten, and going for those challenges which have all been completed.
4. I like cookies
I like prestige mode because it gives me the chance to re-live all the things I went through during my first or even second playthroughs, it has allowed me to enjoy everything once more.
I am currently on the fifth level of prestige and was originally going to stay at the fourth because I liked it…but I got bored..and even after unlocking the golden dragonuv I quickly disliked the game..for me starting over made me realize how much better I had gotten.
It took me over 6 months to level up to 55 first time through…In less then 4 days I have gotten up to level 38 with minimal effort.

i am level 42 prestige 9 on cod 4 and on the gold guns point i havent bothered because my sole purpose was to get to gold cross then i would get all guns in gold, then complete all challenges and job done!!
it can be a very long battle guys going through 10 prestige levels but when you get there knowing that you cant prestige any more is fantastic!!!!

Heyy, I’m a 3rd prestige Rank 30, I prestiged last night. Erm, prestiging doesn’t make you “obese”, “retarded”, a “low life loser” and all the other things. What can you do at Rank 55? erm, go for challenges (you’ll get them in a few days). Go for gold weapons? (that will get boring). Nothing else, prestiging is there to keep your gaming alive and not boring, and it’s to show off too, yes! But how long has the game been out for? About a year and 3 months. To the person who said spending 420 hours on a game to get 10th prestige is sad, presuming the person has had the game since the release, thats UNDER 1 hour a day. So how can you say they sit tehre eating and playing cod all day? hmmm? Do your math.
Tip for anyone trying to get there k/d ratio up: Don’t play anything except Normal Team Deathmatch. Get used to it, you’ll have a 3:1 (kills:deaths) ratio every game easily, getting around 25-30 kills a match. That’s still nigh’ on 450xp per match! Easy to reach 10th prestige to, eh?
I would like to know if there is any prestige mode in COD 5 for PC version. If i’m not mistaken in Cod 4 there is no prestige mode. Thanks.

nice man, nice. yeah i was so pissed yesterday. i got home 3 hours late, so i couldn’t prestige, and my dad made me stay off also, so i’m still @ lvl 53 on my 8th prestige. i can prestige today in like 3 hours or so, and then get to lvl 18-25, but it’ll take a while. not to mention i have to go to a psychologist or a psychiatrist today too. it sucks

also how can a host leave a game or end a game.. on ps3 there are no ways to host a game. And public games i assume are servers at the playstation network. others log in to..
So this leads me to believe that when you see “host has ended game” it is a hack. or there is too much lag and the session ends. per scripted response..

see, since you’re getting 20 xp instead of 10 xp, is because they’re having another double XP weekend for all you folks not at 10th prestige lvl 55 yet. hope you enjoy it while it lasts. i recommend you play search and destroy during that time. if you’re good enough, you can go up a whole prestige with this double xp weekend

yes mate, the gold ak with the pro pipe, and double tap as your second perk is the shit! try it, and i guarantee you’ll love it. if you miss your Pro Pipe up close, double tap will easily gun them down. simple as that.
and so far i have $120 saved up, and i’m getting another 100 next week. it’ll be another couple weeks man.

@nasty, good perks for these guns are different as per what map you are on small maps use marty, i like deep impact and stopping power, i also use extreem conditioning quite alot with my mp5 or my p60.
For the AK-47 I usually use a silencer and UAV jam/Dead Silence for my ghost setup. Stopping power is always nice but it’s powerful enough that you don’t really need it if you’re any good. The fire rate is a little slower than the other autos… that used to bother me alot but not so much anymore, obviously Double tap gets rid of that, but you’ll get used to the fire rate.
For the MP5, again silencer and UAV jam/dead silence I use alot. On S+D I usually have my AK47 set up with x3 frags and my MP5 set up with claymores. MP5 and Stopping power can also produce spectacular results.
Two of my best matches on TDM were 40 kill matches, one on Bog with AK w/pro pipe + stopping power, and on Wet work with MP5 + stopping power. It’s like hardcore with the AK w/Stopping power, and at close range you can kill people as fast as you can aim at them with the MP5 with stopping power. On Chinatown TDM with any luck I routinely get 30-35 kills with the MP5 and stopping power… love it.
And don’t hate on Martyrdom all the time, a kill is a kill. On Wet Work and Vacant, or anywhere else you expect CQB, you can get tons of extra kills because it’s just impossible to get away from it.
I think that in World at War, everytime you prestige you unlock a new custom slot, so you could end up with like 16 custom slots for whatever if you keep prestige-ing. That would be cool.

I got the rare emag fo eht raey edition of C.O.D.4! I started out at level 10 prestige. I could equip 2 PC90s with every attachment, carry 10 of each grenade,and even got to fly the helicopter. Sadly though you go backwards in the game. Once you hit level 1 you have the choice to un-prestige. Once you hit level 10 of the 1 un-prestige you get the super rare water pistol! Guaranteed a one-shot, one-kill even if you come within 10 feet of the enemy!

Phoenix… Yeah, on PS3 we don’t have that problem, lol. Can you beat the campaign on Veteran? It’s hard as hell, I’ve beaten all the missions on Veteran except the final one and the Bloc one, I always get killed right when the stupid helicopter’s coming. I played COD a couple days ago for a few hours and got my ass handed to me. I just need to play it to get back into it, but I’ve been playing my baseball game alot lately. After lots of cussing at my screen and throwing $60 controllers around ($60… what a bunch of bullshit that is…) I’m actually starting to be able to win without playing on the rookie difficulty levels.

yeah, in your case, i have all the trophies for cod4, but in my case, i have all the achievements for it. i have to admit, i got really mad on a few of them, but here’s a tip.
for the Bloc mission, before you set everything up, go to your right, past the ferris wheel, and you should see that bumper car ride. you can actually go back there and lay still, and they’ll rarely ever find you. you do have to have good reflexes though, cuz some will come around the corner. do that and you should be fine.
which last one? Game over or the Mile High Club? Game over was easy, mile high, easy after watching the walkthrough, lol.
ugh, i hate how you have to pay like 50 bucks for a controller. you could get a used new game for that price, or two old games.

The thing about Prestige is that it forces you to learn to shoot straight, that you can pwn with a basic M16 & no decent perks while others are coming at you with more advanced weaponry and perks. It’s made the M16 my preferred rifle, accurate as hell. When you can pwn your enemy with the basics while they’re blazing away with a P90, that says something.
M16 is for noobs that CANNOT shoot straight.
Grow some balls and run out with an MP5 or M4.
If your tactics are that good, then you should have no problem getting 15-20 kill streaks every game.

I do not sit in front of the tv all day as there is lots of work to be done and im sure other people here feel the same way, I live a busy life. Maybe your just crap at the game and its your way to vent your frustration. Stupid remark and i doubt that u should be even playing it. Think before you comment.
