I think the wood backgrounds are getting more and more use, they look really estetic and we can get rid of bored simple backgrounds. I dont matter about the loading time.

i agree with the “loading time” issue… i try to find a wood background image that is low resolution but, looks good enough to use…

I use a wood-look theme on my fishing blog (in sig link). It’s a modified version of a theme called “Wood Press”. I had to modify it a bit for SEO purposes and it still needs more work but it does OK.

One thing about these themes is that the background graphics can cause a slow load time so you need to watch this closely if you use one.
